Community Health Trauma Clinic

September 26, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm AKDT

Free

Snow Blossom Acupuncture, LLC – Wellness & Float Center & Live Breathe Alaska have partnered to help bring the Alaskan Community closer during this tough time.

We are concerned about the mental health & trauma that has overcome our community as we are all dealing with an increase of mental-emotional traumas such as anxiety, stress, feelings of depression, or triggered PTSD. Which can also present as physical trauma as the two are linked.

This donation-based Community Health Trauma Clinic is the first of many community events starting with group acupuncture treatments geared specifically towards helping our community heal. Please note that proper mask-wearing & physical distancing will be followed during the entirety of this event.

Have you experienced acupuncture?
Have you experienced any changes in your physical &/or mental wellbeing?
Are you fatigued & stressed?
Acupuncture is a medicine that has been used for thousands of years & is utilized by all ages throughout the world. Acupuncture trauma clinics are organized to aid in recovery after events such as natural disasters, communities in need, societal shock & emotional trauma.

The style of acupuncture that will be used is called the NADA protocol. NADA stands for National Acupuncture Detoxification Association & uses 5 sterile, single-use acupuncture needles which are placed onto specific points on the ear to affect the mental & physical body as a systemic & holistic approach to healing. Acupuncture can help in resetting the nervous system which strengthens the parasympathetic response so the body can naturally heal. Snow Blossom was part of the organization of the Earthquake Trauma clinic held 1 week after the earthquake on November 30, 2018.

A portion of the donations will go to the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts which is an invaluable arts & entrainment staple within our families & communities – ranging from family traditions, such as the annual Nutcracker experience, live music, comedy, dance & local variety.

*Cash or Credit donations can be made on the day of the event.
The suggested donation is $15, but we are grateful for any amount. Your donations are greatly appreciated – please note that donations are non-refundable.
