LBA is shining a light on Small Business Saturday. Did you know that for every dollar spent at a small business in the U.S., approximately 67 cents stays in the local community? So by shopping at the places homegrown, created by the people we know and love, we are actually bettering our community in a big way. The LBA team has compiled a list of some small business that will be participating in Small Business Saturday.
6th Avenue Outfitters
6th Avenue Outfitters is as Alaskan as it gets. The doors opened in 1985 after the owners at the time, Ray and Larry who had come to Alaska in the 50’s, saw the need for a “working man’s store” that was “Last Frontier Born”. In 2018, Larry’s estate converted the store into an Alaskan retail co-op, essentially making it possible for any Alaskan to own a stake in the company. The store is now owned by over 240 Alaskan families and 18 rural villages. The store specializes in outdoor gear for the Alaskan in all of us. Stop in on Small Buisness Saturday and say hi to the hardworking and kind employees who have been preparing for the season and cash in on the deals at hand:
- Buy one Kuhl item at regular price and get 30% off the second item
- All hats, gloves, and socks 30% off
- Retail footwear 25% off
- All Pulse and WFS children’s and adult apparel 50% off.
